I wanted to use my collection of glass beads and a coaster for my desk. I love handmade things on my desk and I wanted to add to my repertoire of creative things. So I had burlap sheets and lots of cardboard pieces. I hope you like it. I am not creative with patterns and it was difficult to make sure they stay in their place on the simple design. I added a brown ribbon at the end to cover the edges. I think it looks great and clean.
A few weeks ago I bought my first washi tape collection, but I did not know how to store it. I wanted it placed conveniently on my desk and use up some of the scrapbook paper I have by Molly & Rex. I love the pattern and I got those washi tapes by Molly & Rex too.
I have lots of washi tapes and it was all over the floor in torn up bags. I didn’t want to buy a washi tape holder. It is an expense that is not necessary and I can spend my money buying more crafty things instead. So, I have many shoe boxes (who doesn’t?) and scrapbook paper, 12×12 pads, that I needed to make use of so I can invest in more! 🙂 This is a quick project. Make sure your hot glue is ready and you have a x-acto paper cutter too. Check out the tutorial video below on how easy this project is to manage that stack of washi tapes you are hoarding.
