When you are down or having a lazy nonproductive day, it’s best to just draw and colour. Since I love watercolours and it’s my preferred medium with one of the least amount of cleanups, I choose it and I think the drawing of the mermaid turned out great. Watercolours result in amazing shading with the least amount of effort.
Another watercolour drawing! I used Winsor & Newton watercolour 12 colors pack. I first used light pencil drawing with a mechanical pencil because it seems better while erasing. After I finished colouring which was very relaxing, I use white highlights all over to complete the drawing. I love how watercolours flow nicely and give amazing shades. The effect is magical.
I will say this with great enthusiasm, I LOVE gouache watercolour paint. I have been watching a lot of YouTube videos of artists using them, and what struck me that one YouTuber said they dried out matte and can very reactivate with water, which was way better than Acrylic paints that I am not too fond of. So I used 55% off coupon at Michaels and got the Reeves brand to try them out. I was a bit wary because they looked like Acrylics paints, but then after trying them out and using little or no water has made me amazed.
