I decided to take out my one and only adult coloring book by Crayola and found a picture of a cool gypsy looking girl. I took out my Spectrum Noir Alcohol marker (pastels and brights) and spent some relaxing time coloring. I didn’t color the entire page, but only the girl. The page had many random flowers and I didn’t want to use them. I had a plan to use my new scrapbook paper pad. In the beginning I didn’t think I wanted to make a canvas. I wanted to do some art journaling, but the paper is very thick and I didn’t want to use it on my art journal book. Therefore, I used a couple of pages and made a simple collage with it and used modeling paste for a little texture.
I wanted to do mixed media projects on wood, but I didn’t want to use pencil colors. I have lots of wood panels I got from Michaels. I love them and I will stock up on them when I go next time. So, I tried Faber Castel Gelatos for the background. It really turned out well. I just had to let it completely dry before I added the texture paste and the script background.
